Jan 3 News

Phillip, who spent the night, was the first one out of the house, and Sherry who was going into the office to work for part of the day was the next one out the door.
A little later, Mr. Fog drove Mario to work this morning.  Mario was there about three hours getting caught up with things at the office and getting his computer repaired.   He spoke with the Miami surgeon who shared the pathology report results.  The cancer is apparently a Ewing’s sarcoma.
A Ewing’s Sarcoma is odd since this type of cancer is mostly associated with children and younf adults.   The diagnosis was based on the biopsy taken and subsequent pathology.  It is not a very common cancer, taking its name from James Ewing who identified this type of cancer in 1921.
In the afternoon Mr. FOG and Mario were are at Piedmont Hospital for a CT scan and another MRI ordered by the Atlanta neurologist. We also got a hard copy of the pathology report from his office which confirmed that it is a Ewing sarcoma.  Mario meets with the doctor tomorrow to check the wound and discuss next steps.  We hope to meet with an oncologist soon and see what happens next.
In the evening , Mario, Nurse Sherry and Mr. FOG regrouped to share a nice meal.  They were surprised by the Cunningham family with a most delicious meal from Zoe’s in Buckhead.    We had a wonderful Mediterranean/Greek meal of grilled chicken kabobs, a Greek salad with potatoes, rice, and pita bread.
With his computer being fixed, Mario has been enjoying the Kindle Fire, a gift from Chaney and Ryan.
 Ciao, MR. FOG
